I'd move the radio box forward to help replace the lost weight of the inboard. You might want to do something with the fuel tank if you haven't done so already.
If you're having problems uploading pix or vid's, www.rcflix.com is now RCU legal. ob nut and I both have pix and videos over there, some of them from previous Fun Runs. It's one of the best sites that I've used to upload videos. Link the shots to here.

I'd just replace the case instead of trying to repair it.
You can leave the trim tabs and turn fins on for now. I've never been too crazy about the turns fins anyway as they should be 90 degrees to the bottom of the hull instead of the sides. I suspect they did that for packaging reasons, to fit in the box better.
I'm kind of worried about the lower unit too as if the skeg hasn't been modded, it is a late `70's, early `80's model that will be difficult to find parts for. Look inside to if it's threaded or not or if you can use the drive off your other OB engine. If not, you've got an oldie there.
I'm guessing that it could have been one pieced together. The SS cannister exhaust was originally used on the old inboards with an exhaust throttle setup, the reason why they still have the holes in the exhaust flange.
The previous owner also whacked some off the cavitation plate, possibly in an attempt to swing a bigger prop.

Good luck with the boat. It will look and perform awesome I know. I know a really awesome boat by me that is an old 30'(Around that length)Cigarette 1 boat that the guy has fitted twin outboard Merc's on it. Not only does it look and sound insane, it flies through the water.

project is still alive[sm=lol.gif], here's the update,,,well, i installed an OS motor instead of K&B out of my disappointment[:@], first, it will take sometime for me to get a K&B crankcase to run it, 2nd i gave up tuning this OS in TS2 as my stock tunnel for race, since i got a modified TS2 it's all right for me...

got some pics..expecting to test run this week..feel free for any input, i need more ideas and things to head up...thanks

Looks good. Is it just me or in the very last picture from straight behind does the motor look a little crooked? I think it may jus be an optical illusion. Keep up the work. Lookin forward to how cool this boat is gunna be.

[sm=thumbup.gif]thanks guy for the moral support...my mind right now is pretty much twisted from trying to fit all this stuff in one place, i just wanna make this look as a stock SW36 with outboard motor, so far got a little problem installing the throttle cable coz the motor is so close to the transom and there's no much room to move around.

i might use double servo for steering instead of one due to big servo won't fit in the radio box.

Yes it does. Check your alignment on the motor to the transom, looks like its leaning a bit to port side. Probably could get away with loosening your mount bolts, twisting it and then retightening.

Looks cool.

Now that I look at it again with the other photos it may indeed be an illusion. Maybe it's just the angle of the shot.

Yea same thought here. If you line it up with the center one of the three little bumps on the cover above it, it seems pretty lined up.

ok guys, Announcing the SW36 is ready to roll!!!![sm=spinnyeyes.gif] can't wait to see this running so i spent most of my sunday completing this project,...i used dual servo for steering(sponsored by TC31 servo), i can't fit the throttle servo in the radio box so i put way out, got hard time figuring out the cable play.. the transom looks like it was hit by a shot gun, lot of holes, so , tomorrow is the maiden voyage, hope i will not flip it coz my electronics are not waterproof yet..i'll post pics and possible video..

i made it ran yesterday, no issue with the set-up, steering and throttle response pretty good, engine pushing the boat with lots of power but needs to tune the prop height angle and also the tabs...the boat is not fast yet, running mid 20's with less than half throttle, i just took it easy...prop used prather 220, 40% nitro

here's some pics and video at YOUTUBE.COM under RCBOAT or WAVEWAKER2, sorry i do no how to attach a direct link, also excuse the quality of video, ,,those kids in the pond did it for me..

more to come![sm=lol.gif]

I tried to find your video without any luck early this morning, mostly what I got was that Hydro-Foamie thing.
