turbine hydroplane
i am, interested in installing a turbine in a 1/8 scale hydroplane. I saw the video on the christo-05 does anyone have any information on were to start my research. Does anyone have info on how to contact christo-05.

For one, a 1/8th boat is too small for an R/C turbine. After looking into the idea myself, I determined it's not cost effective to do so. You would need to build a MINIMUM of a 1/6th scale boat, carry prohibitively large amounts of fuel, find someplace that can custom make all the required parts AND have very deep pockets. A Wren Turbine will run about $2500 before modifications for marine use.By the time you add the control circuitry and gearbox, you're looking at closer to $4000 for a setup that is comparable in specs to a Zen 260.
