I'm looking for a header and tuned for my OS 21 XM Outboard. Does anyone have a web site for Jim Irwin? I understand he is making/selling headers and pipes for this engine.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Jim Irwin is getting out of the business, it's for sale due to health problems. He just had surgery done on his head and neck for cancer. With failing eyesight and his back shot, I doubt if he'll be doing any more work.
You can try Mark Hopper at HTB Boats: http://www.htbboats.com/new_page_1.htm , these are really close to the Irwin's in apprearance.

Mark is one source never to over look. Joe at [link=http://home.earthlink.net/~namba707spec/]707 Specialties[/link] would be another source.

I just got back from an extended diversion ... still looking for the tuned pipe. I sent an email to HTB Boats asking for information and availability. Sorry to hear about Jim Irwin ... seems too many good people are getting sick from cancer.
thanks again ...
PS: I just finished the hull on my Dumas Hot Shot IV. I didn't work on it for months .. finally when my wife went off for a week in Europe ... I got back on it ... and its is now ready for final paint ... I just applied the primer and sanded it ... and put the first layer of paint for an offset checkerboard pattern ... I still have weeks left for completion ... but ... I am getting there and getting there is half the fun ...

James - re your last post in reply to my search for a header/tuned pipe for my OS 21 XM Outboard. For the life of me, I can't picture how the parts come together on the engine. It seems to me the header pipe points downwards and the exhaust points sideways ... is that right? Or does the header come out sideways and the pipe turns it 180 degrees sideways in the other direction? Isn't there anything that comes straight out? Seems like a lot of 90 degree turns to me.

This picture (also from the website) should show you how they are set-up. This is how 98% of the guys do them. As long as the length and design of the pipe is correct, the motor doesnt care or know how straight or curvy it is.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

There may be some Salisbury pipes around. Check with Mark Sholund at http://www.props4u.com/ as he's a dealer for them.

Ok James .. I see, thank you. I understand about the turns and curves now. I'll go on the website and take another look at the pipes.
One more question .. what is the device on the engine that is held on by a bracket ... looks like a rectangle?

Hesco Racing is correct, it is the shaft oiler kit that we sell. They are located on the website also.
Thanks, James
