I just aquired this boat from a friend for free and it looked like it had been sitting for years, the engine was locked up, anyway i took the engine apart and cleaned it up and it started up on first pull boat cleaned up nicely as well all electronics work and it looks like a nice boat but i am not in to boats 3d planes are my cup of tea, my question, is the quality of this boat worth trying to get in to boats or just something i should get rid of.

If you just want to go make some waves and do sport running, the Jet Stream 1000 is good for that.

I had this particular model and found it to be a fun and reliable boat. Only thing is I learnt the hard way about not mixing glow fuel with ABS plastic, spilt some fuel and did not clean up. Following day it had began to eat through the hull.

For the price, give it a shot as you're not really out anything. You might find that boats are a lot of fun, we did.
Usually the stock props that come with these are the greatest so a good aftermarket prop could boost speeds.
