RE: Anyone seen this??
I have no idea how old it is or who kitted it. If it is a Tom's Cat by Octura, How old do you think it is? How long has it been since they stopped kitting them??
Could it be a old Prather kit???
It has a 8906 OBMotor with a aluminum(silver) colored carb.
Seems to me I purchased it sometime around 1985.
Thanks

RE: Anyone seen this??
I'm guessing that it's pretty old. The outboard tunnels came out in the mid to late `70's as far as I know. I'm guessing that it's an early `80's boat by the design.
Octura put out several successful boats in their time with the White Heat hydro being one of them.
I do know of a guy that has an old Tom's Cat but haven't seen him in a few years.
The problem is that a lot of companies have come and gone in those years of the early OB tunnels as there were a lot of them out at that time when the class was still in its infancy.
I was kind of hoping that some of the older guys like Jerry Dunlap would see this thread and reply. I'm no spring chicken myself but some have been around the hobby a lot longer than I have.
I'm doubting that it's a Prather. A Prather hull usually won't be gel-coated and will be epoxy-glas, not fiberglass.

That paint job is too cool! The problem is that when it flips, the guys in the retrieve boat will get to see the best side!

Man... I wish you lived closer to me. I would definitely keep you busy. I could use one of those "Trick" paint jobs on my boat, right now. Probably couldn't afford it though.
Nice Job!!!!
