Miss Vegas - 35 MPH
I ran a GPS system on the boat today. I'm running Wildcat fuel 35%/18% fuel, gravedigger turn fin, sharpened and balanced Y535 (I think I've got the right number for the prop). Strut is up to what I believe Jerry D recommended. I hav not pulled a shim out of the head.
Curious as to the speeds others have attained and suggestions above and beyone what I've done so far.
Thanks
jim

RE: Miss Vegas - 35 MPH
As I'd read and heard the other guys are running O.S CV-RM.18 blackhead and there getting about 40-42 mhp But also there guys are running .21's to in the Miss Vegas. With my truck motor I'd pull my head shim out after 5 tanks.Jerry told my girl friend to take the head shim out after 6 tank runs on her aquacraft.18 miss vegas motor.

RE: Miss Vegas - 35 MPH
If that is with the stock engine/pipe/hull with wings, it is pretty good. Best I got on my boat was 33.1 with a GPS. Norm up in OK city got 33.5 MPH. I had nothing cut, sanded, or sharpened on mine. Norm has his rudder cut/sharpened, but I don't think he sharpened his turn fin or sanded his hull.
