OS CVR.18 flywheel
Will both of these flywheels fit the the OS CVR .18? I need one for my Wild Thing and don't know which one will fit.

Does anyone know why they would be different?

RE: OS CVR.18 flywheel
Get the super Vee flywheel. If that alum one the get it,plus it much lighter then the steel one=more power and rpm you can get out of your motor.it's less weight and drag on your motor. I'm going to get one for my vegas 2.

RE: OS CVR.18 flywheel
Do you know that it will fit the OS .18 CV-R? The reason I ask is that the carb on the .18 CV-R is a lot bigger than the one on the Aquacraft engine. For this reason I could not fit the Octura flywheel on my new engine.

Get this one here,
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMAJ2&P=X
made for the OS CVR-M and MX, is made of alum and it uses a cone steel collet instead of brass.

RE: OS CVR.18 flywheel
The one for the MV will fit...it is what I have on my .18 CVRM.
I have a SV27 one on order just to check out. It does not show how it is mounted though. Not sure if it needs the little taper collet, or if it will need the drive washer on the engine to use.

RE: OS CVR.18 flywheel
Sean,
you are correct the one for the MV will fit the CVR series thats what I use aswell, but there is quite a number of people that have started having problem after a while where the flywheel start turning out of round.
The culprit is the Brass cone collet, so a good upgrade is to go with the steel cone and why not use the nice blue anodize alum flywheel from OS.
