CAN ANYONE ELSE EXEPT RON TELL ME IF HE HAS UPGREATED THE STOCK ENGINE OF SHOCKWAVE 36 WITH AN O.S .32? IS IT BETTER THEN THE DYNAMITE .32? DOES IT FEET TO THE BASE OF THE STOCK ENGINE?DO I NEED A NEW MANIFOLD AND I TUNE PIPE?DO I NEED I NEW PROP?
PLESE HELP BECAUSE I AM A BEGINER!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not had any experience with the os .32 but based on the stats from the manufacturers, the Dynamite looks to be the better choice IMO. The dynamite puts out 28000 rpms...7000 more than the OS. Now as far as which motor puts out better power at different rpm ranges, I don't know. But, the Dynamite is cheaper overall....less expensive to replace in the event of catastrophic damage. My Thundercat 31 uses the dynamite .32 just as the shockwave so I would imagine that it has the same mounting hardware...my point being that on the thundercat 31 forum, on page 40, there is a guy who put an OS .46 and claims that it bolts straight to the stock motor mounts. Don't know what props he is using though.

On my dynamite .32, I just put an octura x447 yesterday and it really lit up...you could also use a x445 or a prather 220 or 225

Prather went out of business, I have the understanding that Hyperformance Products has bought them and will be making some of there stuff (which products I haven't heard). Do you want a new engine or do you need a new engine? I am considering either a nice .21 or a sport .45 for my TC31. As for fitting the base you could always add your own new mounting holes in the piece's of aluminum angle or just make new angle mounts they wouldn't be very hard to make. As far as better I would guess yes the OS is better, the stats for the dynamite are better but those are just paper #'s OS is a more reputable company.

I changed out a dynamite 32. for an o.s 21. rz marine and macs tuned pipe and got much more speed out of my tc31

I use a Hughey flex shaft, suppose to be the best there are (i got my from my LHS). I think Fullers http://www.drcwebservices.com/ffe/ or offshore might sell them , yes offshore does sell them I seen them this morning http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=70 .

PRB2058 is a drive dog http://www.horizonhobby.com/Search/D...prb2058&CatId= the flex is PRB2052 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=PRB2052 and where to get that besides horizon I don't know sorry. I personally would rather get another make than proboats, the Hughey shaft would be my first choice.

hey what's up everyone i just purchased a shock wave 36" and it's the old style with the pull start,, do you know what up grades they did to the newer one than the old style..?? cuz i got it off ebay,, brand new but brand new 1 year ago,, *******************.com they do your boat they dont make your rtr they make your rtr faster.. we'll is it hard to start with the pull starter,, lmk soon i should have it by 6/20/07 here's my e-mail [email protected] wally lange thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
