Default fuel content

Im running a k&b 3.5cc outboard. And would like to know what is the best %of nitro to run with out going over board and compromising engine life.I race accosinaly but not often its just that running 30% is not doin it for me.Not to say it dont run well it does just not seein the performance i would like to see.I have been runnin nitro buggies for years so its not tuning issues at all im runnin probaly close to 95% max tune judging by perfomance and reading of glow plug.

What glow plug are you using? From past experience, these can make a huge difference in the way the engine runs.

At the current time im running a medium plug as it seems to idle better and run more predictable at slower speeds.

I've been running 65% in K&B 3.5 for a few decades now without any issues.. Well, unless I make changes to the motor and try to get the most out of it 45 - 55 will do just fine for playing around...

We ran 60-65% for many years without trouble.... Its not the nitro percentage that hurts, its the oil content and the finger that adjusts the needle.
