Default Easiest way to start an SC91

Hi i have just brought an sc91 but it is a bugger to start, i have tryed a few things but it still will not fire anyone got any ideas as to how they start there's or no a way to start it......

F16, it's one of them thar furrin injuns.
You're probably going to need a 24-volt starter and a loose glow plug to crank it over.

anyone who wants to know a sc90 stand for super custom pretty sure they are made in china
allways found way to start one is take plug out get fuel in to engine put plug back not all the way put glow starter on fire it up let it warm up tighten plug put in water done

Hi Rixy,

good and bad news I suppose: Good news; It can be done, bad news; Ron is correct, I had to buy a Dynatron and two 12volt batteries for my SC61.

Someone at the local lake tried my starter on their SC91 and it zipped it over no bother.

One thing with the SC motors, they do "loosen up" lots when run in. One with a couple of hours on is a different beast to when new.

Also, one recommended mod from me, replace the carb!

My 61 is a different engine with a good carb.
