Hydro airfoils.....???z

I have this posted on the gas forum and thought this might be of some interest here on the nitro side of the house also,I recieved a reply from a fellow proboat owner,(Proboat772)regarding the use of airfoils,...while a proper COG is essential for proper hull trimming, this is usually accomplished/compensated for by shimming the strut, adding weights,or relocating the engine and/or various other components....[:-]but what about the varying water/wind conditions that dictate if we run conservitivly or full-tilt boogie,or not at all???currently,I'm working on this BAD COG issue with my 1/8 Miss Bud and using a simple rear-wing mod and yet to be thunk-up front canard mod. that makes them both adj. for the varying conditions mentioned above, while most of the hydro owner's have removed their rear wing due to the question of it's effectiveness and weight issues,I removed the front screws and using servo arms re-attached them, thus making them adjustable for anywhere from 10-30 degree's more lift for the rear end, while this was too simple to figger out,the daunting task of the front canard will soon be figgered out and tested ...soon,I just wanted to get out this rear-wing mod so those who still have their wing(LOL) can try it out...and possibly report back with their results....[8D]
