looking for a place online to order some octura stuff, want it to have decent prices and decently fast shipping, got a new idea planned if I get the engine I want on ebay, gonna build a fun little flat bottom sport boat, probablly with just build one, kinda design as I go, I have made some nice small wooden electric hulls this way in the past, gonna liquid cool a 4-stroke .30 for a small boat, make it a belt start, should work as I have acces to machine tools, so prolly just make a coil around the cylinder for cooling...then run it and temp it every couple laps...yes I know it wont be as fast as a two stroke, but 4 strokes are very reliable and idle well, also a totally unique sound for a boat...

Offshore electrics used to be one of the cheaper places to get props. Not sure how their prices on other octura hardware compares to other places.
The problem with them, is they charge about 8 dollars shipping...one prop...or a bunch of stuff... eight dollars shipping.

Takes a little while to get stuff through them, but I have ordered from them before without problems. Odd that we have to order things that are made in the USA from China to get them (at least I think Octura is made in the USA)...

LOL yeah, I believe it's made here, I will order it once I decide what hull I am putting this engine in, may beef up a fuel proof an ABS hull, depends on how large the engine is physicaly, its 9.6 ounces in wieght, and is a .30 four stroke made by magnum, 12,000 rpm but the torque is where these shine, so it will spin a large high pitch prop...

Wherever you shop, you're not really going to find much of a difference in prices on Octura props as there isn't much of a profit margin on them. The only time that I got a deal is when a LHS was going out of business. Me and a buddy bought up just about every Octura prop that they had as everything was going at a percentage off. We probably got them for less than wholesale.
If Steve at OSE doesn't have what you need, try Fine Design RC.

V3-D,
You can get what ever you need rite from Octura, just give them a call,,they will probily tell you that you need to use your LHS,,Tell them that your LHS's don't deal with boat stuff and they'll get you set-up,,,And a nice thing about ordering over the phone is,you can verify that they have every thing instock and when it is going to ship(I hate back orders)
P.S. ,, Bug them about an online store, maybe if enough us bring it up they"ll get with the times!

Octura will deal directly with customers and a lot of hobby shops won't deal with them as for one thing, the low profit margin and Octura requires a minimum order for them, usually $100.00 .
Forget about them being online as Tom Perzentka is very old-school (and very old). Until he passes away you're going to have to buy from storefront dealers. Only the people that have dealt with him for an eternity like Gary Preusse have gotten around that rule. Gary's not online either but that's cool with me as I learn a lot every time that I call him.

cool, once I get the motor and find all the stuff I need for it, I'll call them and place the order, Im gonna build a dumas sk daddle too for this engine and finish it with stain and a good clearcoat, make it a very nice looking and unique boat, I'd be happy to hit 25-30mph with it, I think 30 is reasonable if I put a large enough prop on it and can keep it cool enough, it will spin a 9x5 plane prop at 12,000rpm which if anyone here also flys, its pretty good power for the size...I'll make a build thread once I have everything, probablly once I have the hull done I will start it, no one here needs a thread on building a sk daddle too, its the power source that will be my main focus, for sport boats it may be a very viable source with there awesome reliability, easy of starting, and the sound is cool, and can be made quieter then a 2 stroke, much more acceptable noise too for those who cant have a nitro due to noise, maybe this is an option for them if its successful
