I put it in a vice and hammered it a few different ways, when that failed, I grabbed a flat head and started to try to ply apart the big round piece on the other side of the bearing thats attached to the shaft. The big round piece(gosh I wish I knew my terms) bent and cracked so now there's only one option, buy a whole PTO assembly. I tried searching google but couldn't find any place to buy one. Anyone know? Thanks.

Your probably going to have to go straight to MECOA where K&B resides.

Replacing bearings can be some of the most depressing and frustrating aspects to engine rebuilding. Sometimes it goes real easy and other times not so good like the time you just had with yours. Even changing bearings on a brand new engine thats never been ran yet has the same trouble. It all depends on the press fit size it was manufactured to. Just a few tenths of a thousands can mean a big difference how they come out or press in - not easy to repeat during manufacturing.

Anyways, here's the link to the KB:

Thanks for the help jetpack.
I found the part numbers on a diagram http://www.mecoa.com/kb/87/870102-exp.pdf I guess I have to buy everything separate. I couldn't find prices or a place to click "buy" though, and no search area on the site to try and type in the number? Do you know how I get to there?

I know its a hard website to move around in for parts. I had trouble too. There's a page that has their parts department at the MECOA page. I'll see if i can get there and post it.

You'll probably have to find where to register your card number and such to get authorized, I cant remember if it asks when you go to check out or not.

Cool. Yeah, its not a very well designed website compared to most, but once you get used to it there's pretty much everything there that needs to be. I had to download the manuals and parts list to my computer so I could associate all the part number swaps they been through with the 3.5 and whats currently available. I got tired of flipping back and forth online and just used my "print screen" and "paint" program to make my own pages that I saved in a folder.
