Default Turn fin question

B.J 26, ran it without turn fins but not happy with handleing. I f I want to mostly make right turns, do I put on the right turn fin or the left. Will one fin affect straight away preformence? (pulling or twisting). Thank you

It has 2 fins stock. Took them off to reduce drag. gained a little speed. Also had an aftermarket drive. Not impressed by it. Put stock back on. I was just wanting to put one fin back on. Right for right turns?
thanks

yeah put it on the right to turn right, since it's a cat and will ride kinda flat in the turns one is all it will need for either direction I would think, a good cat hull shouldnt need them, but because it has a steerable outdrive it needs at least one, monos that are used for sport will run two beacuse the hull rolls on its side in a turn thus lifting the outside fin out of the water, this is why monos that are raced have the rudder on the right, so it goes even deeper in the turn rater then lifting out...

Ding ding ding. Thats the answer I was looking for. Figure I've got a few more weeks to play. Painter buddy of mine said if I strip it down this winter he would do it up for free. Just do do it, Thank you all.

Proboat has not yet learned how to design a cat that can turn, and also how to avoid steerable outdrives. I would use both fins, or the right fin for right turns only.

u can try by using bigger rudder to compensate the function of turn fin and replace the steerable drive, might be better handling just like tc31 set-up.
