What would be a good electric boat to recover the nitro if it stops on the water? I would like one that my 7 yr old daughter could use while I am running mine.
Thanks

you could get a zig-zag or a reef racer. both are only like $80.00, and are very, very hard to sink. your daughter would love them, and one of them(not sure which one) comes with a piece you attach to the front for collecting the balls that also come with it. that piece you also could use for your boat as well

Retrieve boats are only good if the dead boat is upright. If it's upside-down, hung up in weeds or partially submerged then the boat won't do you much good.
The Zig-Zag Racer or Reef Racer are fun little boats for kids (or adults for that matter!
) as they will take a beating. I bought a ZZR myself to use for retrieve boat duties but ended up by running the battery pack dead playing with it. I also used a cup hook mounted low on the transom and attached one of the balls that come with the ZZR to use to tow the boat in.

By csrewing a cup hook low on the transom. With the Zig-Zag racer, 3 balls come with it to use ot mark a course if you run it in a pool or at the pond. Scoop also comes with it that some use to push stalled boats or for getting the balls back. I just used a fishing lure hook tied to the line to attach it quickly to the boat.
just drive around the dead boat and the ball will snag on the prop or rudder.
