Hello, gentlemen!
I have a Thuder Cat 31. It runs pretty good, but the problem is that it gets some water (about 2/1 cup - 1 cup) insinde through the propeller shaft tube. I checked the water cooling system. There is no water leaking.
When I kept the boat to sit on water for about 30 minutes, I could see that water was coming through the propeller shaft tube.
Even though I richly lubricate the shaft after each several runs, still water comes in the boat. Thus, after every run, I have to drain the water quite much.
I have several different boats, but they have never had this problem. The insides of my other boats are usually kept dry after running.
To sove this problem, what should I do? Please, help me. Your advises will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You did not mention it but I asume your teflon liner is in. Also check the gap between the brass tube and the strut. Iff its to big water will be forced up the shaft into the boat.

If you have too litlle grease in the stuffing tube water will slip through the grease has to be really thick to whatever lube you are using could have possibly eroded away the factory grease check that out. Also take Hesco Racing's Advice and check your teflon liner these boats i'm sorry to say due to my expierences with them are real lemons.

does your stuffing tube show any signs of wear or cracks? if everything is put together right and your putting grease on the flex shaft, it shouldn't leak. i'v been running mine for awhile now with no problems.

Hello! I was out of town for several days for my work. And now I came here to see.
OK, then, I will try to replace the cable and the tube. Maybe they are not too good. Thank you very much for your answer.

Water in the hull is not a big deal, it happens alot. Most of the time water gets in the boat when it stops in the water and sits there, when the boat is moving the water shouldn't get in the hull. The only time you will have a problem is if water gets in the radio box. Make sure you use some flotation and you will be fine.
