This thread is sorta the second aquajet thread since the other one has lost activity and was really some guys question about an aquajet I placed this thread in speed because it is a mod and upgrade thread please post pics if i had a camera i would show you mine but i don't[
] showoff your aquajet ask questions see what everyones saying about this boat and it is a mod thread so please don't post pics of your stock aquajet, unless you are trying to show someone a problem or a solution please be civil no need for shouting
And please if you post on this thread tell us what you think answer the poll see which cen boat is better (of course only in your personal opinion don't do what others do and argue the results of the poll because of this and that). The poll is to compare all cen boats i know we are in the nitro forums i'm just curious as to which is liked best HAPPY BOATING!

I have the aqua jet- Good boat to learn on I feel (hell Im learning on it) and test the water (bad pun!) but inevitabley I think you will want more speed and there's only so far you can go with it! lack of radio box and non fuel proof/resistant hull are a bit of a drawback for me personally, handles well and is good fun and is fast enough for a noob like me to get to grips with nitro engines and driving a boat full stop. I doubt I will mod mine any further...

For between $500-$700 I would think you could Build a NEW Speedmaster or Seaducer, with a good engine ( doesn't have to be the best engine) and you would be much happier. Then in the future when you want a better boat all ya need to do is get a top of the line engine and you have a great hull already setup to drop it into.
Just my opinion

Trust me i have far better boats this is a toy to me (a heavily overhauled one) mine goes about 40 (it runs laps around my friends 3.5 tunell). don't rip on it this is a place for discussion about it and gooycheese i have a .21 seaducer it rocks!

I have one for a bit of fun when i can't wakeboard when I'm down at our holiday place. All I have done to it is the offshore elecs upgrade prop , I have a tuned pipe from the grey thunder but haven't installed it due to the limited space in the hull for it. Good boat to have a bit of fun with and learn about driving on water. Still considering upgradeing to a supervee 27 though. I would love to see pics of peoples upgrades

Ok, here's the thing, look in the various forums using the search engine and way back somewhere in each one, nitro and electric, you'll find plenty of threads pertaining to these boats.
Some members can't seem to be able to go past page one in here or do a search first to see if there is already an existing thread.
You can also do a search for its sister boats like the Grey Thunder which will help Aqua-Jet owners too.
threads stay on page one or two on their own merits. Any bumping of threads will get those postings deleted, site rules. These boats are old hat because newer and better ones have come along at the same cost.
Sorry, that's reality.
Just to let you know, I had a Grey Thunder (nitro version) and if you do a search, you'll probably find my name as the author of the original posting.

Hi, I managed to put the pipe inside the boat

Also fitted ball joints to the servo steering and throttle rods to tighten them up a bit.

Thats what I used I made my own header to. I got some stainless steel tubing and used a pipe bender to bend it for optimum angle & length it worked pretty dang good. how much would you have to trim a macs 2.5 for this boat I have not expiremented much with it except taking a 1/4 inch off the back.
