Mono Turn Fins
#1

Being new to mono's, I've never delt with rear mounted turn fins before. Can anyone help me mount the one that I bought?
Did I buy the proper side? (it's only sharpened on one side)
Is it best to mount the blade to the inside of the bracket or the outside?
How far over from centerline or how near the ouside of the transom should it be located?
Should it be mounted 90 degrees to the bottom surface where it locates?
It is going on a shallow V hull called a "Norco Eaglet".

mine are as near to the sides as possible, you'll want it on the right for right hand turns, ann 90 degrees from the bottom surface, heres a picture of mine, I have two because its a sport boat that I wanted to help it out in the left handed turns a little bit...

Jet from that pic you got a leftside turn fin. The sharp side goes on the outside of your boat.[8D] But if you need turn fins on your mono I have a set!! both sides Like Verticals has on his boat.[8D] Maybe you can sharpend the other side and maybe you can still use that turn fin??[&:]

I guess I can just sharpen it even on both sides then so I can still use it. I figured it was probably the wrong side! [
] I bought it cheap thinking if worse comes to worse I can always file out my own fin, it was the stainless bracket that would have been hard for me to come up with.
I'll see how this works when I get it in the water before I decide if I need the ones you have. I wanted to stay with the kind with the bracket so I can experiment some.
Thanks 3D, I just wasnt sure myself where it went. I've seen lots of pictures of mono's but never really paid attention till now...
