Default POST UR WINTER PROJECT....

hey guys, cold season is here, boating slows down and most of of the boats are drydock, i'm starting this thread to keep boating alive,,so, post ur winter project ideas, picture, stories...

mine..i'm fitting OS .46 on SW36, test run pretty soon.....then bought a canard awhile and fitting it with rossi .45 outboard, it will be an experimental and funboat...and the last is the 48 inches DPI tunnel, thinkin' to put zenoah gas outboard but i'm doubt of hull structure and strenght, it might end up with biggest K&B outboard motor(MArk OBnut where are u need to borrow ur engine)..

Been looking for another class to get into. I stumbled on a .40 mono and engine at a decent price so I picked them up. Getting a little grief from some folks on my engine choice...but I think I am going to try it anyway, and see what happens.

Going gas! I've already sold a few of my nitro boats but deciding which one(s) to keep if any. The one on the table right now is an American RC Boats Vee-Rod and am looking for a Cat. Right now I'm waiting for parts to show up as some should be in this coming week.
It looks like you'll have some new toys for "Show & Tell" next May at the Fun Run!

If it's a CMB in the box you should have few problems with performance, they go well. I assume it's a 45 in the box?

Yes Glenn, it is a .45 CMB...but it is a hydro engine. My thoughts being, that everyone is running surface drive now...so why not an engine made for it.

hi Ron, i'm waiting to see ur built gas boat,''

mine if this sw36 works well with OS.46 i might end up buying another motor so that i can run the tc31 with OS .46 too.....this is getting ready for kalamazoo fun run.

Sean, looks ur hull and engine is a great combination,,,i think cmb .45 is less temperemental than cmb .21just my observation,,,

Probably the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend like last year whatever day that is. I'll have to get with Mark to see which day works for him.

I'll get some shots of mine once the work really begins which I'm hoping will be this coming weekend. There should be one package from Bill at Top Secret Boats and one from Zac Price. I've been bidding on some more goodies on eBay. Still waiting for the word on the engine yet.
In the meantime I built a boat stand for it.

Not much of a builder, but more of a modifier. Black jack 26 was my first boat this summer. Just finished some internal engine clean and smoothing. Starting to pull decals off to get ready for repairs and paint. Had it on my desk and the lake was calling me,... one more run. Hmmm. 34 degrees. 25 wind chill. Aww what the heck.I'll try to post vid in a few. When my hands thaw out

since u modified the rudder, have u tried running it without the turn fin?..might be much more better and faster,,less drag..

Not what I was originally planning, but this will be at the top of my project list. It's going to be the 78 U-31 Circus Circus.

Winter projects include building several 29", 34" and a few 47" WOF's.. Some will be put up for sale.. Others will become my race boats. Oh yea, there's a very special project that I'm working on.. Don't ask, I can't say... [X(] Those lucky enough going to the World Outboard Tunnel champs will see the project.

Jul, give me a shout.. I owe you a motor anyway.. Believe there is a 13cc sitting around doing nothing much...
