RE: 1/12 Miss bud covertion to Oberto hydro.
Keeped it simple!! the little logos are a over kill on it!! The Oberto ones. For now I'm happy with it. Better then the chinese versions.Plus there shark is way off too. They couldnt go that small with the other ones anyway. But I'm going to have the hobby shop that I deal with to make a full set and a partsial set up. He can do them that small. He's realy backed loged with work, other wise I wouldve have him do it in the first place. When he has time I'll have him make the small ones. [:@] The next Oberto proboat that I'm doing will have them on it and will be put up for sale.[8D] Ok heres one committ that was said about my boat on INTL.
That is one of the nicest ProBoats I've seen.....good job.
Who ended up doing the graphics? Heres that link on INTL.[link]http://www.intlwaters.com/index.php?showtopic=25029&st=15&start=15[/link]

That's the best dressed one yet. You got a super deal on the decals! They look great too! Excellent job on color matching and getting the paint lines nice and even. Smooth work. Now it just has to warm up at the pond! You'll need to shoot a video of it so we can see how nice it looks on the water. Plenty of custom work you have in it with the engine and hardware, your building ideas and new special paint and decals. I can't think of anything else you could do to it, or haven't touched yet. It will be great to get it signed. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] You have a true custom now!

Hey guys, I don't if I should tell you this or let Misshydro do it but it seems that I got home first. I finally got to meet her and JW today at a swap meet in Fort Wayne. She brought this boat along to show me and her boyfriend found out that they had a boat competition there so just for giggles it was entered. She wasn't feeling well so left for a few hours. While she was gone her boat got a first place trophy!
She was speechless! OK, that had something to do with her having laryngitis form the concert Friday night!

She wasn't feeling too good that day as she didn't stay at the swap meet too long. I never heard her talk as she had a nasty case of laryngitis. A lot of pointing and a few squeaks was about all that she could muster.
The third shot is a Grimracer Villain that Mike used to sell.
Note on the floor behind me is the Aeromarine Signature 57 in black that I got a helluva deal on. I was in that stance to try to make Misshydro look taller than me. It didn't take much!
The Phil Thomas Sport 20 was Karen Kensill's boat and the Black Jack 55 was one that Bob Kensill was working on for a customer. A QD 35 under the hood and the twin steerable outdrives made it stand out.
The only other one who I knew owned it was Gus Dolsen's C-box, not only good-looking but fast too.

RE: 1/12 Miss bud covertion to Oberto hydro.
Ok!! Got a heck of a suprise in the mail yesterday!![X(] Sombody sent me a good CMB red.21 motor with third channel carb!!! So to that person how sent and gave me this motor! Thankyou very much!!! The person wants me to stick this bad boy in the Oberto hydro!! But got alittle proublem. The carb with third channel set would be to big/long to fit in the motor compartment. But still thinking how to adaped this in it?I'd wished I had this when I was working on the hull. I wouldve cut the hull deck and mod the cowl to make my work easyer![8D]But if it doesnt go in this boat it will go in my Miss vegas!!!! But heres the motor. The red was faded and I desided to wet sand the red off and buff the alum finish to like a mirror.

Hey Misshydro,
You could always use the stock header pipe (the one that is too wide) and just run it with another engine cowl http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=PRB3202 cut open and painted to match your Oberto. They are only $13...When your done you can pull the motor and put the original cowl on while she sits on the shelf in between days at the pond. Take care,
Scott

RE: 1/12 Miss bud covertion to Oberto hydro.
I could steal a cowl off of a boat hull that I have sitting around and make that area that have a slight bubble where the header is at. I saw what some guys do,they hack up a cowl to make it work but it looks like crap.[:'(] like I'll say I'm still sort of up in the air on this??[&:]

RE: 1/12 Miss bud covertion to Oberto hydro.
I don't see too bad of a heat issue with that air gap but you might want to run some water around the headerto help keep it cooled down. Remember your tuned pipe length, with a header that is too long you will render your tuned pipe useless, I say this from looking at the pic above with the other engine ,that header pipe would be untuneable as in wayyyyyyyy to long. PS that boat should be on the edge of blow over with that engine ,he haw looks like fun to me.

Very nice work you did on the Oberto paint Misshydro. You should send Jimmy O. The owner of the Oberto company a picture of it.
