Default The GOOD the GOOD the & the UGLY RC WEB DEALERS

In not here to degrade anyone or any company but its to inform you all about good business practices, and what I've encountered with specific companies. and where to get hard to find products so please help me out and post your experiences here to better inform everyone else. Thank you!

I'll focus on the good.

Prop Dealers GOOD: Only found a couple that have Octura and Prather in stock most always

http://www.finedesignrc.com/octuraprops.asp
this company also stocks Prather!!! they have the S225's

http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/
a pretty good selection of props some specifics are posted as out of stock.

Parts Dealers GOOD:
ODD parts you may need like flanged Bushings: http://www.smallparts.com/
most RTR parts: http://www.horizonhobby.com/

Fuel Tough one... Hard to find high nitro anywhere stick to ordering it through your local hobby shop, If someone has any other info for me shoot a post.

So all help me out spread the good word about online retailers and or places to stay away from.
Thanks J

Expect a fuel shortage through the summer (at least) so stock up while you can. High nitro is getting scarce and the prices are shooting up.
For nitro goodies I've be dealing for years with Gary Preusse. He is old-school so he doesn't have a website but a long-distance phone call is always worth it.
I've dealt with Steve also at OSE. I've never seen a bad word about him.
Most of my dealings lately have been with gas boat dealers so I won't comment on those people, most great, one so-so.

You might want to try www.alshobbyshop.com in Elmhurst, IL. The lady running the store, Cindy, is a boat racer.
BTW, Gary Preusse in the the Chicago suburbs. His number is 630-279-2451.
