Default Fast in turn/ Slow in straight aways

My boat is always speeding up when I turn, and then slows down when I start going straight again. Is this a prop issue, a strut issue, or an engine issue (too lean/rich)?

Boat is a supervee 27, 30% nitro, M440 prop.

Thanks.

If you've run four or five tanks through the engine and it continues to do this, try leaning down the engine a click or two at a time.

Yes, its had at least 5 tanks through it. I'll start slowly leaning it out.

Thanks JD.

Is the tuned pipe length correct?

Well, its the stock pipe that came with the boat. I have not changed the length of the pipe at all. I didn't know if the length could or should be changed.

My SV 27 ran fine with the stock muffler length.

I dont do monos alot for sure but this is a question. Could his strut/stinger angle be wrong, meaning in the corners his prop gets a chance to unload and as soon as he straightens out his prop loads up again? Its just an idea, not sure this kinda thing happens.

Listen to Jerry and try leaning out a little. I doubt the SV strut has enough adjustment to give the effect you describe.

Dont lean it yet. I had the same problem with my BJ26. The problem was that my prop was too low. When you turn, as the boat leans the prop is at the rite heigh. When you run straight the prop is too far below the water and this loads up the engine to much. Try raising it little by little. Too much though and it will just cavitate.....I speak from experience.
