Default Engine Reccomendation?

I have an old Dumas 30" fiberglass shallow vee mono hull. I think it might be called a Mach 3.5. I want to build it up for my 8 year old son as a starter boat. I'm looking for an inexpensive reliable nitro engine between .15 and .21 ci. It does not need a pull start. The boat will be setup with a surface drive. What do you recomend? Or more importantly, what engines should I stay away from?

Thanks,

Craig

Default RE: Engine Reccomendation?

Stu Barr was selling some CMB long strokes for $200 each... If he still has some left, that might be an option. Only bad thing about them is that they are rear exhaust. I put one in an SD3 for my kids to run.
