Default O.S. 18CVR-MX Marine engine what boat?

Hello all. I bought an O.S. 18CVR-MX Marine engine, kind of put the cart before the horse, but now I need a boat for the motor. Any suggestions please?

Basically anything 25"-35" or so will do. You can go up to 40" but don't expect breakneck speeds. Something preferably fibreglass instead of ABS (the slightly heavier hull will be more sturdy at speed). Anything that's stock with either a .18 already or a .15 motor. A .18 motor will drop directly into most any .15 boat.

Most of us over at the NitroVee forums generally run our .15 boats with a .18 dropped in them. The bad thing is, it's a crappy boat and needs a lot of work. But the good thing is it's a crappy boat and needs lots of work. Depends on how you look at it.

Miss Vegas is a nice boat, if you're starting out (which I assume you are... could be wrong) a hydro isn't the easiest thing to run with as you need very little chop in the water. MissHydro could probably tell you otherwise though

SuperVee27 is a pretty good hull. Though I hear it likes to spin.

Proboat's Formula FASTech is a really good hull, As well as the BlackJack 26

Firefighter 18 Rigger.

should get in the 50's and maybe 60.

I haven't tried mine yet but I'm pretty sure those numbers are doable.

Dan.
