Phil Thomas, but the one you build your self from plans can be just as fast and more durable., Hydro junkie has lots of good info on this subject.

It comes down to what you want to pay, more than anything else. I do know R/C Boat Company sells decent looking boats but, unfortunately, trys to pass off a 1990-1994 Budweiser as a 1990-1994 Miss Madison. Phil's boats look good too. MHZ also has good looking boats. I won't say anything about quality since I haven't seen any of these up close. I myself haven't had a glass boat, as I prefer to build it myself so I can set it up the way I want.

Here's a link to Phil's site if you don't have it: http://rcmarinedesigns.20megsfree.com/scale.htm but have your pop-up blocker on!

Thanks for the info guys. Whats the power differnce between the new mac/cmb .67 vs the ops redhead .67's. Are some of the newer boats capable of handeling more power if these newer motors are puting out more power?

MY buddy still runs piccos in some of his 1/8 scale and wins races with them so I would say with a well set up hull and keepin it light you can still be competitve with the older engines [ops, rossi picco].
