Default converting from tigerdrive to belt drive?

I have a proboat formula hydro that has the tigerdrive system installed.
The engine is currently the Dynamite .18 engine.
What do I need to convert this to a belt drive(?) system?
When I remove the tiger drive piece on the front what goes on the front of the engine?
what is a lower cost starter?
what kind of belt do I need?
Do I need to change anything else on the motor?

thanks in advance,

Michael

Leave the pull-staer starter in place then just use a belt and hand-held starter. Removing it could lead it leaks.

Get a back plate... Here a dynamite.18 motor and I bet the back plate will fit your motor..get a 17"aquacraft starter belt . you can find some good use starters on ebay.. I got mine for my local hobbyshop for 5.00..[link]http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=DYNP5212[/link]

Leave the starter on and buy the belt, it is the best way to start on the belt, trust me

The motor doesnt have a pull starter, it has that tigerdrive starter system from (I believe) Sullivan? Call it a cheap drill.

Wont leaving that on cause un-wanted drag on the motor internals?

Big Roy you need to ditch that tiger drive system to elmanate the drag off the motor..Even a pull starter gives you drag too.. your spinning that starter rod that attach to the back of the crank and it creates drag..Ron you should know better too.. Your the one who was on me to convert over too..

Go to Proboat and they have a back plate for your motor.

i don't know about this voodoo, it looks just like the pull start back plate, i see a hole in the center......

there is a negligible amount of drag on a one way bearing, i doubt it's enough to even notice on a proboat. me personally? just leave it, and use the belt. and you have a back up..............
