Congrats!!!! Its a great first boat!! expect mid to high 30's with a good prop!! the stock Dynomite Engine ? I have 3 they all run well, 1 was a little hard to tune but after has given no trouble at all. Right hand turns only!!! very slow left!!, have fun, If it dies in the water NEVER SWIM FOR IT!!

I got a older one that came with the .15 but was a little slow. Threw the .18 in it, different prop and runs good. What motor do you have?

Is this the newer one with the .18? It's new never been ran I think I got a great deal...I was gonna go with the brushless but with the price of the brushless Elam $369 from ultimate hobbis plus batteries..I was lookin at $500 bucks to get started. I'd say for $170 cant be it!!!

I couldn't tell you if that is a .15 or .18. They look the same. I guess you will just have to wait until you get it. I would go ahead and order a metal prop. The cheap plastic ones that come with it are pretty much useless. Someone could recomend a good one. I forgot what I got but they told me what to get on this site. Made a huge difference.

Me to. I got my pull start in (took of tiger drive) but when I went to put it on something isn't right. I think I am missing something to make it work.[:@] I am going to get some pics tonight after work and see if someone can let me know what I am missing. Other then that she is ready to go.

I changed mine over to the pull start too, and it just bolted right on. Are you sure you got the right pull start? I have an extra one that is brand new for my BJ 26 that I haven't installed yet. We can put it on if you can't get it figured out.

I either run a Octura Y535, or the Grim Racer 36 x 55.
I'll try to post some links.

I'd take a little time on it but you don't have to. It will run better and look better if you do spend a little time on it.

The GR prop is already polished to a better finish, whick really is just for looks. The main thing is they need to be balanced, and yes this is something you really need to do. An out of balance prop can, and will tear the drive and other parts up on your boat.

I didn't balance mine. oops. I don't have anything do to that with. Guess I need to think about getting that done also. Does it ever end, haha.

Beasley, I can show you how I do it if you want me to. Looks like you might need to show up early if you plan to run any! LOL
