all depends what nitro% you will use.

K&B plug you have the 1L and the HP.
you can use an OS8 or a McCoy9.

again, need to know fuel %.

To be honest I am new to nitro boats what would you recomend for a plug and fuel? I am not racing cause its just me and a few friends who go out with or boats on the weekend.
I have some 20% and some 45%.

if using 20%,
you could use an Mc-59, Mc-8, OS 8, O'donnell red dot, or K&B 1L.

35% and up a Mc-9, K&B HP, OS 8, O'donnell purple or blue dot.

I run 35% and use the Mc-9, I also run 25% in my buggy and use an Mc-9.

here's a few links to help you out.

use whatever is good on your wallet and if its just for fun, try to have everyone to use the same fuel, much cheaper when you buy in larger quantity and it makes the fun race a little more even.

Well I tried to get this motor to run with not much luck. It looked like I was not get enough back pressure back into the tank. It got dark so I gave up..... I am going to take to the tank apart and check everything out.I got this boat in a trade. The motor still has tons of compression...are these motors a pain to tune!!!!?????

yes they can be and definitely if the carb adjustment is out of wack.

not knowing what carb you have, if it has an LSN in the throttle arm bring the LSN out and flush, than go in 1 turn and
3-1/2 turns out on the high-speed but your weather conditions can make that vary.
