Default old 7.5 K&B outboard questions

I just picked up this boat tonight, and was wondering if any if u guys could help me identify it, or tell me how it should run and handle, compared to the new stuff? the guy said he thought it was an areomarine, but wasn't sure.. said he thought it would run around 50... It has a 7.5 K&B with an x450 prop... looks fast! I am hoping to hit the water soon, but it's turned off cold! thanks, For any help!

That does appear to be an AeroMarine 40 Predator. With the mod engine, it should run close to 50. It's an older design, so it won't be as fast as the new tunnels. Only way to see how it will run is to "Just Run It."

I don't know Jerry,
I definitely don't want to argue with you, you know your tunnels a lot better than I do.

it does look similar but have a quick look at the 2 pics, pic #1 is the Predator 21 and pic #2 is the Predator 45.

unless this is a much older model.

Dan.

I guess if it is an AeroMarine 40 Tunnel, it's an older version. Not a boat I've seen "up close and personal" for sure.

took the boat out today, and it ran pretty good... has good power, but I think the Cg needs to come forward.. it acted like it would hook and spin out in the corner quite abit.. I added a turnfin, and it helped, but it's still trick to drive.. but fun!!!
