Older gentlemen asks for advice about engines
I just acquired a Aquacraft Supervee 27 hull without engine. I have two engines on hand: an O.S. Max .21 Marine and a K&B 3.5cc (also a .21) marine inboard. Both are NIB. I just want the boat for occasional recreation not to be racing. Easy running and enjoyment top the list. Which engine should I use and why? Thanks, Jon

RE: Older gentlemen asks for advice about engines
Jon,
Because most of us are kind of nuts [>:] we would drop in the Max 21, but to be a bit more conservative the K&B 21 would push
the SV27 pretty darn good if not to its limit.
go for the K&B and later if you want........try the Max.

Both engines are overkill for this boat as the stock engine is enough for it. I'd spend less than $100.00 and get a new engine for it and save those 2 for another project. Doing the conversion alone will cost you some money, probably more than dropping another .18 in it.
