Default .67 for 1/8 scale Hydro

I have a 1/8 scale hydroplane which I'd like to freshen up, if not repaint. It didn't come with a motor, but I believe it originally had a Picco .67. I have been trying to find as much info as I can about the different motor options...hasn't been easy! Pricewise, I may have to go with a slightly used if not older model.

I have seen some Picco's for sale...I hear they are good motors, but parts are tough to find.

I may have a chance to get a CMB .67 Gold Head motor...looks really clean, not new.... but not an old warhorse. Does anyone know if the motor mount bolt pattern is the same for the Picco? and How many generations old is the "Gold Head"?

Thanks for any info...

Barmonkey ,
you can pick up a very good .67 on ebay , picco ops novarossi all are Italian made[best] ,K&B is USA [good], your high bid $180.00 -$200 for NEW IN BOX ,used $120.00 + if in pristine shape. OS & CMB I am not informed on them. Mac has a great engines.

If you can pick up a CMB gold for 150.00 to 200.00 in good shape , that would be a good deal , and the engine should fit right in where the picco was , next would be the pipe and Andy Brown could help you there.
