RE: .12 Rigger Kits for CHEAP!
burning the lights late,to get a rigger done ,sounds like Ronlooks like another winner. good job HR We got leaves falling over here. They don't like leaves & the water is cooling down. no inner tube for retrieval now. Will be puttin on the long johns soon. I have a .12 &.21 to build. When will it end? I am thinking Thunderboat. My 2 RIGGER hulls have had a great year. kinda dinged up some. Hard driving.I need to learn better driving skills. I did pick up a Traxxas Slash RC truck to help in the winter. The more I have my hands on a transmitter the better.

It's the weekend after Labor Day every year.
Next year it may be bigger with a team coming over from Oz plus Al Hobbs and talk of Jerry Dunlap coming in from the left coast.
There isn't an easy class for riggers there as some of the best drivers show up for this event. If anyone has subscribed to the Me Time Live RC site there should be more videos just uploaded of this years heats to give you an idea of the kind of racers in attendance. Yeah, then there's me..........

Thanks AB, see year round we can run, but you got to man up when its 38 deg. outside here. So many more boats to build.
Going to look at the vacation schedule for Labor Day next year.

Nah, other have beat you to it! Steve Ball showed up this year with only one boat, a .21 'rigger and totalled it out during practice! He stuck around anyway and helped out other boaters the weekend. The boat did a full-tilt boogie right into a piling on the gazebo.
Two others that I know of last year, one hit the wall doing at least 70 and another lost radio contact and hit the shore near the dam.

Damn, that's not a such a good way to spend a weekend. Having to help others, while it can still be a lot of fun, just doesn't get the heart pumping like racing your own boat does. Rebuilding boats tends to suck when they HIT ANYTHING at that kind of speed as there isn't normally much left. Unfortunately, I know that one from experience, just wasn't going that fast[]

Usually Steve brings along other boats but not this time. He probably already had his room paid for so he might as well stick around.
Right now I've got to finish the JAE gas 'rigger then the other JAE .12 as the second one is turning out better than the first. The boats will get matching paint jobs, probably simple lime green tubs and white sponsons. My JAE .21 is already painted up like that and it doesn't look too bad.
I can always drag along #1 for a donor boat for just in case. Joe did show up this year with parts if anyone needed them.

From the Bench to the water. FIRST RUN! Making sure the trottle response is still there, and it can come up on plane and how hard it can turn so I can dial in the radio for racing.

I'm taking the plunge and I finally finished reading the whole thread, thanks for all the tips and info.
Are there still cowls available for the 12g2?
Also I must have lost the piece of foam for the nose, is it the same stuff as the sponson's?
