Default Water through stuffing tube?

My Miss Elam is taking on water in the engine compartment. The only place that Ican find that the water is coming in would be the stuffing tube/flex shaft. Is it possible that the more grease that vacates the stuffing tube over the days running equals more water entering the compartment via the flexshaft? It seems that I am pouring out more and more water as the day goes on. Does this make sense? Is there any nifty mods that can be done to help retain the grease in the stuffing tube?

Thanks again!

Yes, it makes sense. You should regrease after about every 3 runs/tankfuls. Could be that the Teflon liner is shot also.

One way to check is do a leak test on the hull, toss that sucker in the tub and watch lol, speaking of leaks its a miss proboat make sure to seal the inside of your radio box, inside seam may give leak issues remove your electronics, a little epoxy or FG resin mixed with micro balloons or other filler and run it around the inside top of the box while your in there add some to the wooden servo risers to give then more strength and less movement..
