best prop for tc 31
i have tried a couple props i have a 3 blade that is quick out of hole but slow top speed.....junk. then i have a prather 250 and it kills rpms but gets crazy fast at then end of about a 20 or 30 yard run. by the way it still has stock .32 just finished porting out exhaust header. nothin tricky though if anyone could help get me set up with 1 or 2 diff props to work with without spending 100 bucks on props thanks

Try an Octura M-445/3. We did some testing a couple of years ago with a friends TC-31 and my box of props and found that one to work quite well. I'm not saying that it's the best but just one that got him the best speed on radar that I had handy.
This was Wave Waker's boat that we tried them out on. Maybe he's found a better one since. I know some others have used the Prather 220 with good luck. I gave one of those to a guy to use on his Shockwave 36, he was very happy with it.
WW also placed a fuel tank in the right rear sponson to move the CG back which seemed to help and left the stock one in place. The 65% nitro didn't hurt either as he got it up to just a hair under 50 MPH.

They come raw, SS props are not the easiest props to cut BUT prather SS props are some of the better cast ones out there. Might add that you WILL need to balance and sharpen it before you run it..
