I printed out those prints also . I like Nicklas sponsons but his tub, seams overbuilt. 1/4 " ply for the sides I will modify that for less weight also the booms need some attention

I liked the JAG.45 sponsons..I have a .21/.45 aeromarine rigger that I'm building..Was told the sponsons are alittle on the heavy side..proubley run them plus make couple of sets of sponsons for it too...Ok I'd just got done finishing the insides and installed foam floatations....now its ready to skin..Will be skinning it tomarrow..Proubley post the pics tomarrow with top skins on it...

Brings back memories of building mine. It is the first boat I had so much deck to deal with gluing on and have to admit I was pretty nervous about doing it, but it turned out okay. I had a little bit of a twist in mine but nothing that couldn't be sanded to correct.

It's tricky for sure but it looks like you got another boat now[8D]

Final shaping and sanding for me is the fun part and for sure I know you'll do fine there. Don't keep us hangin'.

Not at all. I was just wondering if she was going to put tails on her Eagle, just like the rest of her boats. Since she didn't reply, I'm just saying I may have to do one to see what it would look like with tails since I hate stock boat builds. Nothing more to it than that. I may end up doing some mods to one if I do build one, so we'll see what happens

Why would you never hear the end of it? If you do something stupid like hinging them or throw a servo in the back to make the wing R/C controlled, then you might get some crap. Now if you put on some LIGHTWEIGHT, hardmounted talifeathers......................................

LIKE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm already married and she's got a boytoy so I guess that rules out a wedding. Besides, I don't think she would want to move out to the Pacific Northwest and I sure as hell don't want to move to Ohio. Besides, I like the smell of salt in the morning too much to move to the corn belt

Too cold for the cold hearted Dan. I'm only around 70 miles, more or less, from the Canadian border so she wouldn't be able to handle all the Canadian plated cars. Hell, I have friends that live all across BC and one in Hamilton, so it's not a problem for me

Misshydro, the Pacific doesn't get hurricanes, it gets typhoons. They only happen in tropical climates so we don't get them this far north. Since you live in a flat area, I know you don't have anywhere close by to go ski, like we do. How does the east coast rule? We're enjoying the low to mid 50s and the east coast is sub freezing clear into Florida. You do have me on the earthquakes, though it's been over 10 years since the last one big enough to cause any significant damage. I know, you're afraid of being around water deeper than you are tall, or is it the salt air might curl your hair? Yeah that's it, she's afraid of some waves

Glad you like it Matt. Unfortunately, some of us have been having to deal with comments like her dissing Canada for several years. Too bad she has so little knowledge on other parts of the country, or for that matter the continent, or she would realize there is more to the United States than corn fields and semifresh water that are in her little corner of Ohio. If she had thought before making her last comment, she would realilze that being from Canada is only living on the oposite side of a line on a map and having a slightly different set of laws.

I just had a thought. Misshydro said in her last post that Washington is next to California. Did Oregon get removed from the map or was it just absorbed by annexation into Washington and California? Most important, WHY DID'T I GET THE MEMO ON NO MORE OREGON???????????????????

Misshydro, how can Washington be too close to Canada? All you have to do is cross that wide spot in the river called Lake Erie and you're in Canada. I think you're as close as I am, if not closer. I'd be looking at an Atlas before making comments that I have shown to be totally off based

Nice colors on the Bud and sure does look like the Eagle cowl. Is the MRP the same size?

One thing about the ABS cowl is it's pretty long to be going without some spreaders to hold the sides in shape. The wood strips that get glued in arent really enough. There is a splash guard over the carb that gets glued in that helps it some.
