Default Prather Fun Cruiser or Shockwave?

Ok, Well basically I am asking this questions cause I would like the best bang for my buck to start out with.. I dont care about the radio cause I am taking it out and putting in my Futaba equipment regardless.. but for the boat hull design and engine help me out and tell me what to get or maybe even give me suggestions on another boat type/name brand .. etc..

Thanks

If those are your only choices, go with the Prather. The Shockwave is junk to be kind but also coincidentally also uses Prather hardware.

Ron, Would you suggest a similar boat in about the same price range that would be equivalent of those boats as for hull design and engine? it doesnt have to be RTR cause I was going to put in my futaba equipment anyway.. I dont really want to spend more than 1 grand on it..
Thanks for your response and I appreciate your time..

There are alot of manufactures that offer RTR and almost RTR boats. I would try looking onto some of these, they are built by smaller companies and let you pick out exactaly what you want. I think you will get alot more for your money and be much happier!

Also try Bonzi Sports, sorry I don't have the link. Good luck!

Yeah that's it!

Ron, do you know of any more good companies for a almost RTR boat? What about Hoover Hydros?

Don't get me started on Hoover's boats. Let's just say to stay away from them for the moment. They are supposed to be a good hull IF you can get one. There is an ongoing discussion right now on Jim's R/C Boat Dock about Hoover and his poor service.
You might want to give us a price range that you are looking at for a RTR boat minus radio of course. You can go from around $700.00 to $7,500.00 for what you want.

Ahh yes, the Hydro wars! I couldn't find the laughing face to put after the name Hoover in the last post. I figured you knew it was a joke!

Yes... it would be good to know what you are willing to spend.
