SERVO UPGRADE
i have a thundercat 31 with AMS-16 servos and i'd like to upgrade to a more reliable one. any suggestions? what about the traxxas waterproof servos?

i have the same boat and run a futaba for the throttle and a hightec 645 mg high torque for the rudder these have worked great for the last thee years

may have to file the wood a little bit but will only take a few min to do i m using a 3003 the hitec will fit fine if you have to file take a little 5 min epoxy and seal the wood

Just installed Futaba 3003 inmy BJ26and had to file thewood a little on both sides(2 min)but I did notthink about resealing the wood, GoodIdea!, next project. But for my necxt boat im going all out with the Traxxas high torque waterproof ones.

done a few cut 1/2" off the rudder and port matched the headder and have tried a few different props have been tempted to try the bigger os .46 engine swap but i like the reliability with it now as in teaching my kids to drive
