Hello all I bought this boat from Canada early 90's era it came with an instruction video and also showed how it performed and I was very impressed. I tried to get this stubborn thing to fired up, but never did and I just gave up.

Anyone remember who made this? I thought it was Ace boats or something like that.

Anyways just trying to put it back together and maybe put it up for sale on ebay.

Thanks Guys, I knew I was close, and yes I have the fin and everything I had it all finished. Then I stole the radio gear out of it, now I'm just trying to put it all back together. I may give it one more go at it with your suggestions. I broke the starting belt so I gave up, but I got another. 20+ yrs top coat is gone so I might repaint.

Hi Ron can you point me in the right direction on the carb, I saw Kavan carbs but do they come with a back plate? I checked Ebay and saw complete engine but I don't need the whole motor unless I get it cheap enough and can be used as a back-up I guess. Maybe you might have one for sale?
Thanks
Thanks

My Feedback: (1)

You can check with K&B at www.mecoa.com and just get a carb for just about any 7.5 as it should slip right in.
The only other AC Sport 40 that I've seen. This one had a Kalistratov .45 in it.

Thanks Guys Yes I went to that site and it just showed the carbs and if I remove the venturi the whole back plate goes with it so I wasn't sure if it came with one, I send him an email.
Buttwiper that's a good one.
Hey TT how fast was it in the video it looked like it might have hit 60mph or more?

That is a nice looking hull, That K&B will move her along. 60 MPH is a wish, more like 40 ish but I haven't seen her inside. maybe 50 mph If you get her setup right. I am not sure what the speeds are in a K&B.67 RELIABLE & DEPENDABLE If you use high nitro 25%+ you will need some KOLTZ or you will lose them bearings.

never shot video of that hull, and its to heavy in my opinion for a 45 K&B to reach to high of speed, the hull could handle just about any thing you toss in it though!

Ok thanks, I forgot you bought it from someone else so you may not seen the assembly instruction video that came with the kit. At the very end of the video it shows him running it and it was running pretty fast I estimated at least 60 or close to it.

Not a problem, anyway you build that boat it should be very forgiving and stable I wouldnt be afraid to run a K&B in it, unless your racing THEN it may be a little disappointing
