Need Help Nitro glow plugs and prop and propshaft
Hi Guys,
I am somewhat new to rc boats. Ihave two questions. 1. I purchased a mono boat that has a .80 liquid cooled motor in it. Not sure what brand. I am running blue thunder 30% and need to know what glow plug to use. 2. I have a shockwave 36 that just lost the prop and shaft while running it. Is there any upgrades or recomendation. Also this boat is running os #8 glow plug is this the best? Thanks for you help! |

That OS is a good med. glow plug but kinda expensive. McCoy MC-9's are colder and work as well and good for either engine. Hughey and aeromarine make good 3/16" shafts.

I kinda like this site http://www.funrcboats.com/default.aspx
you get a look at what your buying. They send what you pay for. We have plenty more http://www.horizonhobby.com/ If you feel like you need to talk, the best place is here http://cdrace1.com/contactus.aspx |

1.The .80 Motor has a P on the side I think its a picco. Still need to find a good glow plug for this. 2. I realized last night the the prop shaft is connected to the flex shaft. Any recommend different props for that. |

Sumertime11, welcome to RCU. I live in Center City.
The Twin Cities club's pond is 3 mi south of the Mall of America off Hwy 77 & 13 (it's a solid hr drive). But we do have a race coming up in Isanti during the county fair. There are many dealers that carry Hughey shafts with the stub shaft already connected;but one guy that is great, cheap & knowledgeable is Gary Preusse at 630.279.2451. He also carries raw and S&B props. Mark Sholund at www.props4u.com is another source. |
