Thunder tiger Falcon 3.5 throttle linkage help

I'm in desperate need of help. This is my first rc boat (bought cheap off craigslist). I cant for the life of me figure out how to run the throttle linkage to the carb?no matter what combination i do, i cannot get the throttle to open? Please help. I will post pics and hopefully i can get this baby running again!

It has the stock thunder tiger .21 outboard on it with the stock servos

you need to find some way to fix the outer part of the cable through that tiny mounting hole... I had a hell of a time doing mine... others with helpful hints please chime in...

I cut that little hole off and drilled a hole into the bracket and fabbed up this.

Your pic helped alot. I didn't realize the little plastic tube needed to go into that hole.

Yep just as fern showed.  You need to have the tube clamped at both ends..

Don't forget to leave some extra slack in the sheath/outer tubing as you'll need it when turning the motor.
I used to set up the cable length by turing the motor to the direction where you need the most length. Turn your radio on and open the throttle fully then while holding it there, shut the receiver off. Open the carb all the way then fasten the screws or whatever your setup is using and that should put you right in the neighborhood.
