setting up a offshore racing boat

Hi peeps I have recently bought a second hand apache 58" hull made from fibreglass. Now I have two engine which are both nitro. One is a mac 61 and an os 81 marines. Which one of these is suitable for this hull. Also does anyone know pf any good sites were I can educate myself on actually setting this type of boat up. I mean hardware and prop angles driveshafts etc?

That hull is more suited for a 26cc Gas Engine

You might be better off posting this question or, better still, have the thread transferred to the gas forum to get an answer. While I agree with Amax on engine size and type, the people that frequent the gas forum would be more likely to give you good answers about set ups based on experience than one you may get in the nitro forum as not everyone runs both petrol and nitro fueled boats.

The 81 should push her fine for sports running,my 58 Apaches have been raced with .90 engines but a 2 stroke petrol (gas) engine would be cheaper to run and less hassle.
