1/12 miss bud with 18 upgrade
anyone ever added a proboat 18 in lieu of the 15?
what all needs to be done?
any help will be appreciated

theres not much difference between the 18 size and a 15 size of the same engine brand. shaft size would be the same as so the muffler side and location would be the same and maybe the crankcase size would be the same . without seeing the 2 x engines i would say the only difference would be the piston and liner dimentions is what turns the 15 into an 18. yes worth the extra power difference.

thanks for the reply, what im seeing so far is the 18 is of course a slight taller which in turn causes the manifold to sit higher which may cause some concern as to heat on the cowl, and not truly lining up with the tuned pipe mount under the wing.
ill keep you updated though, and yes i cant wait to see what the 18 will do in her!

Those small glow motors love some Nitro in the mix too.

I'd recommend looking at 50% nitro and 18% oil for minimums. I found that a NR 21 won't hardly run on 25% helicopter fuel so make sure you have fuel with lots of nitro

also don,t forget the more nitro the higher the head clearance needed to avoid any detonation etc.
