Plans wanted
Hi, can anyone help me I'm looking for plans from old model boats magazines from the 50's, 60s and 70s for racing boats multi racers, flatties preferably glow ic powered.
I'd appreciate any help and advice. Here in the UK these are almost non existant. I would be happy to buy copies of plans if anyone has any for sale. |
Just want a clarification, you said you would prefer a "flattie". Is that like a "crackerbox or a shallow "vee" hull? Check this page out, maybe something would work to make templates from to build several:

Many thanks for your reply I'll check it out now. They are shallow bottom almost flat bottomed.

I have just received a 1968 copy of model boats magazine in it is a plan for a model for boat called snapper can anyone tell me how I re- size the plan to full size.
|
If you can take the plan out of the magazine, it can be enlarged by anyplace with large sized scanners and printers, such as a blue printing shop. They can normally also scan the plans into a digital format so you can print the framing out on a standard printer

Many thanks for the reply and advice I'll do that tomorrow

if you can find some of the old plans for the white heat hulls by octura they are great boats
|
Yes but plans for the old boats are becoming like rocking horse poo, no-one seems to have them because everything is becoming electric. Sad really.

I have about 500 rc boat plans a lot of old ones to what type of boat are you looking for

Hi many thanks for taking the time to reply, I'm looking for ic powered boat plans, speed boats and cabin cruisers. If you have any of these in your collection I'd be interested.

Left click on his name and it will give you a menu. The second line will let you start a private conversation with him. It's not complicated, once you get to understand the system
