engine position

hi can anyone help with engine and tank position in a 24 inch mono hull. is there a formula for working out the position ie % of length?

RE: engine position

It used to be about 27% forward of the transom is where you'd start at usually placing the glow plug at that position. Now some are going up to 30%.
