Got my miss vegas running! w/ more ?'s

I made sure my miss vegas boat would start today before i break it in at the pond tomorrow and i have some questions. I had it in a bucket running at idle and no water was going through the water cooling system, is this just because it wasnt moving? also how long can the .18 marine engine in the boat run on idle without water to cool it off? ,thanks

You need a combination of forward motion and propeller blast to get water to the engine.

The engine can be run at idle for a minute or so, but it's not a good idea to run extended periods of time with the boat out of the water.

thanks, one more thing is that when the boat was running on idle is it supposed to be spinning farely fast and loud? it wasnt going anywhere but it just seemed a little powerfull for idle

You can adjust the idle setting using the throttle adjustment knob on the transmitter.

Probably cause the prop is slipping and the boat is not on plane.
