RE: WHAT SIZE MOTOR

IMO a 21 probably doesnt have the torque to get a 41" mono/deep v movin as good as it would with a 45.

then again if it was me i wouldnt put anything smaller then a .65/.67 in there.

Yup, it's definitely big for a .21 size engine. This size would easily handle a .45 and a .67 probably wouldn't be a stretch either. It would help to know which hull it is.

I'd drop a .67 in that deep vee. They are used in the 1/8th scale hydros which range from 40" to 53" long, so as Piper chuck said "it's not a stretch".

I have a 41" vee hull with an ASP .46 and it is too sluggish for me (mid 30's). Hoping to refit it with a .67 to squeeze some more speed out of it. Therefore I reckon you will be well and truley under powered with your intended setup.
