I am sure someone more knowledgable will chime in...but your rear sponsons are supposed to be out of the water. So, I think you set it up so that your tub is level to a surface...measure how high the botttom of the front sponsons are from the table...and center your strut barrel at the same height...

As an added note, I tried what you are talking about, actually, with the top of the strut barrel even with the bottom of the rear sponsons. I got a lot of cavitation. Might be my setup, might be my prop...but I went an eighth of an inch deeper, and it worked better...then I went a little deeper still, and again, it seemed to work better.

This was not with a FF.12 though...it was with the lil rascal I was messing with.

with the boat sitting on the front sponsons the rear sponsons should be about 1/8" off the table with the boat sitting level.

The center line of your strut should be at that table level. so about 1/8" below the rear sponsons :)

Paul, I'll have some soon. I'm mounting hardware and such now. Waiting on my motor mount to come in. If it does not show up soon, i'll just make one myself.
