It Started!!!!

I finally got my boat started, and not just once, over 10times. I ran it for 5mins first, then I ran it again and again. I held the glow plug igniter on for about 25-30seconds instead of 3seconds and it started and restarted. Now the shaft did come lose a little from when we tried to start it with a drill (my friend told me it would work, it didnt work to well) so we got it started and I was happy. Now however today I got the boat out, started it, took a few tries but got it started. I left it sit to make sure things were running fine and i saw something fly in the air, but didnt think anything of it. Then exaust smoke was comming out of no where which I figured it was just lingering around. Well then I saw it, the gasket blew and the entire exaust blew off, well more shook off but was hanging on just a little by a screw. So we tried to close it off again, well it still leaked. So now I have to get someone to fix it because I'm sick of messing with it and I dont have the equipment nor experience to fix it. Pretty much I dont know what I'm going to do yet, I was going to take it to a river on sunday to run it but thats out of the picture, and next week there was a pond I was going to take it to and it might be fixed by then who knows, but I have 2 weeks till I take it back up to the lake again so hopefully my other friend will beable to fix it by then. In a nut shell Im upset but its only the beggining of summer so I have a while to get it running but I want it as soon as possible. If you guys could give some tips or anything that would help it would highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Relots

Not sure what your boat is, but, once you get an engine started and running, get the model in the water and moving about, then you will have engine cooling.

Take it from there.

Defently gett it in the water as soon as its started otherwise no cooling and that can melt your exaust gasket ive seen it happen b4 not often normaly on little .15/.28 sized engines your problem just sounds lke a exaust gasket and put your exaust back on gaskets are like 40p over here so they should be as cheap if not cheaper over there
Hope this helps
