Does anyone have this?

Hi, just wanted to know if anyone has this boat http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/32-deep-vee-25...lenotsupported

If so what is it like and how long does the fuel tank last for? Also what was needed to make it RTR? Thanks in advance.

I don't have one but it appears to be one that I wouldn't mind owning. Everything looks nice on it but don't know anything about the powerplant.
OK, you're going to need a radio system. Buy a good one but you don't need anything really expensive. Fuel, batteries, a hand-held starter, 12 volt battery as it doesn't have a pull-starter, some grease for the cable, spare glow plugs and a glow plug ignitor. Gather up what tools you'll need to work on it pondside. Don't forget a reliable way to retrieve it for when it runs out of fuel or flips, we don't want you swimming after it.
The fuel tank does look a little small but you may be able to swap it out for a slightly larger one. Eight ounces would be a good size.

Pretty much what Ron said,
but you won't need a hand held starter and a 12volt battery, I had to look twice, there is a pull start (4th picture). You can however later on if you so desire go with the belt start system.

again like mentioned, a good FM radio, but know need to go crazy on price (unless you can spend a bit more, you could go with a Marine 2.4Ghz)
you will also need 2 servos, something with 40 to 60oz of torque for the throttle (does not have to be, but no less than 40oz) and a steering servo, high torque, 90oz plus (I prefer over 100oz but that is me).

The ad says the thank is 220cc which makes it 7.5oz (lets say 8oz), that would give approx 8 mins of run time (more or less).

I am somewhat skeptical of the 50mph claim but you never know.

Dan

Dan, it's seen better in picture 5 you can really see the handle in that one. Well, there's some money saved!
50 MPH, I kiind of doubt it too but 45 might be closer. In the world of RTR or ARTR boats, it sure appears to beat what's out there right now.

LOL Ron,

I guess I can only count in twos.

Thanks for all the info so far. So I would have to get 3 servos altogether right? Someone suggested this radio, can it be run with a boat? http://www.r2hobbies.com/proddetail.php?prod=rcps61207

Also regarding the fuel tank, would it be possible to either fit one double the size of that or fit two of those in there?

PS: The servos mentioned how much would they cost and where can I get them from (I'm in the UK)

Thanks.

you only need 2 servos, the other rod that you see is for the "on/off" switch.

2.4Ghz are not Vehicle specific, so yes you can use it. it is a 9 channel, you may never use that many in this boat and if you prefer a stick radio instead of a wheel, sure.

For the fuel tank, I would wait until you get the boat and you start running it so you can see how much time your getting, and at the same time you will be able to see what kind of room you have in there.
personally, I would not go any bigger than 10 or 12oz, too big will be too much weight and will interfere with your speed and will mess up the way the boat will perform on the water.

since I don't know that brand of radio, I am safe to assume that Futaba or Hitec will work with it.
lots of guy's from the UK here, maybe one of them will chime in.

Dan.

RE: Does anyone have this?

I just bought this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/32-deep-vee-AR...lenotsupported

I also bought everything I would need to make it RTR bringing the total cost to almost $550

I think it may have been cheaper for me to have gone for the nitro version :(
