prop question
i have a nitro viper gt with a .16 engine it has an octura 1435 plastic prop been looking on ebay but i just started and know nothing about what i am looking for.</p> |
RE: prop question
A 1435 is a lifting prop made for hydroplanes, not a deep-vee boat. What you want is the "X" series props like an X-435 which is a low lift prop. All props have a little lift to them so you need minimal lift. That alone should make a difference in how well the boat launches and gets up to speed plus handles.

Dogdrive or M4 threads on that prop ?

RE: prop question
not sure what either of those are but the prop has a slot on where it slides over a metal peace to keep it from spinning freely on the shaft and there is a plastic nut that holds it on i think the prop shaftlooks more like 1/8 than 3/16 but that is by using a tape measure. hope this helps on ebay i see alot of stuff using mm would my shaft be a 3mm or 4mm

RE: prop question
Just a shot in the dark and with what little experience that I have with Kyosho boats it's probably a 4mm shaft and yes, it should have a drive dog.
The good news is that a piece of brass tubing between the prop and shaft will take care of any slop. I've had to do this with some other Kyosho boats in the past. |
